Want to send something via snail-mail instead of an email?

In an age of emails, Teams chats and SMS, building relationships and connections can be hard. However, our most basic psychological need as humans is the need to connect. If you want to stand out from your competition, old-fashioned connection is the way forward.

Instead of sending a client or colleague (another) email or newsletter, send them a physical book. There’s nothing better than receiving an unexpected gift in the mail. And it’s not just any gift, it’s a thoughtful gift that will impact their wellbeing and productivity, as many of us are struggling with the ‘digital pull’ right now.

You could include the book in the Digital Wellbeing Boxes people are gifting to their teams and clients.

Dr Kristy will sign the book, have it gift-wrapped and write a customised card for a more personalised approach (and will organise the postage too).

Reach out to Karen to discuss the various options you have to delight your clients and colleagues.

These online video seminars cover content included in some of my most popular live seminars, but packaged and delivered in a digital format.

We're tethered to technology, both personally and professionally and it's having a huge impact on our wellbing and capacity to focus.

In my latest book Dear Digital, We need to talk...

I explain why our digital behaviours are leaving many of us OUSTED:

KG - OUSTED-Infographic-black

Techno-stress is a real phenomenon and if left unresolved this techno-stress will lead many of us to digital burnout.

There are two main reasons why so many of us feel OUSTED, as explained in Dear Digital, We need to talk:

KG-DearDigitalSalesPageImages_Icon-1

Our digital habits have

introduced a range of micro stressors to our days.

Alerts, notifications and reminders, multi-tasking, video calls and working for long stretches may seem benign, but they’re not. These micro-stressors are accumulating and as humans we’re not designed to cope with long bursts of stress. Nor are we biologically designed to cope with constant stressors. Yet this is how many of us now spend our days.

KG-DearDigitalSalesPageImages_Icon-2

Our digital habits have

eroded some of the biological buffers that were once naturally baked into our days that helped us to manage stress

Physical movement, sleep, exposure to sunlight, our vision, human connection and even the way we breathe have all been radically altered by our digital habits.

What people are saying about the book

“Finally a pragmatic book that helps you take back control of those wayward tech habits, and help knowledge workers thrive in a world of digital distractions.”

Dominic Price | Work Futurist at Atlassian and TED Speaker

“I’m fortunate to have time traveled from the pre to the post digital era during the course of my career. So I am grateful for the benefits digital technology has delivered in making us more aware, educated and connected humans. I despair in equal measure at the harm to our physical and mental health, stemming from the catalogue of digital ills Kristy so accurately describes. From the gentile world of paper memos in physical in-trays to one of incessant digital stimuli, Kristy illustrates how out-of-control we have become and then shows us the way out. Kristy’s work stands out as the perfect blend of art and science - solidly evidence-based and masterfully relatable. She patiently takes the reader through the ‘why’ of our habits and behaviours before sharing ‘how’ to adapt. Don’t put this book on your holiday reading pile; read it now and start living a higher-resolution life.”

Katherine Milesi | Strategic Advisor | Deloitte Asia Pacific

“In this engaging book Kristy expertly describes how our tech habits are impacting physical health, mental wellbeing and productivity. She shares the latest psychology behind how our digital behaviours can leave us feeling stressed, overwhelmed and distracted. Kristy empowers readers with realistic, research-based micro-habits that support rather than stifle optimal performance and wellbeing.”
